Glossary

Platform

The platform is a foundational environment that provides the necessary infrastructure and tools for users to interact with, develop, deploy, and run AI applications. This includes hardware, software, data management, and computational resources. The CentraGate Platform can be accessed either through a cloud-based solution or by installing it on-premises. It not only enables developers to create AI-driven apps but also provides a user-friendly interface for users to access and utilize these applications. The CentraGate Platform serves as a central hub for AI innovation and interaction, seamlessly connecting various elements of artificial intelligence technology.

Workspace

A workspace is an isolated agent within the CentraGate Platform that allows users to personalize their interaction and customize their AI experience. Users can create multiple Workspaces to handle different tasks or projects, each with its own set of tools and access to data vaults. Workspaces provide a conversational UI and can seamlessly integrate with other applications, such as ChatGPT plugins, to enhance their functionality. They play a central role in organizing and managing interactions within the platform, promoting collaboration and productivity.

Vault

Vaults provide a secure and flexible way to store and access data within the CentraGate Platform. By enabling or disabling vaults for a workspace, users can control access to indexed data. Workspaces should provide references when using data from vaults, ensuring compliance with Strict Reference Mode if enabled. For more information on configuring and using vaults, please refer to the relevant sections in this guide.

Tool

A tool is a functional component within the CentraGate Platform that provides specific capabilities to the AI. These tools can be developed by the platform itself, third-party developers, or users as private tools. They offer a wide range of functionalities, such as data preprocessing, image recognition, access to knowledge bases, scheduled data retrievals, and external communications. By enabling and utilizing these tools, users can enhance the AI's capabilities and perform various tasks and operations within the platform.
